Yangmingshan National Park was formally established in 1985, now managed by the Yanmingshan Management Bureau. The park is a close neighbor of Taipei metropolis. It has a total area of eleven thousand and four hundred fifty-six hectares and elevation ranges from two hundred meters to one thousand and one hundred twenty meters.

The park is one of the most popular attractions in Taipei for various ecosystems, volcanic formations, and blooming flowers in all seasons. Due to its location and elevation, Yangminshan National Park has a tropical and temperate climate, which is an ideal location for the habitations of animals and plants. Yangminshan’s flower season is from March to April; visitors will be able to enjoy seeing different types of beautiful Sakura and elegant Calla. Moreover, due to the volcanic formations, it is also an excellent place to enjoy hot springs.

Being the only national park in Taipei City, it is fond by locals and foreigners. Here at the park, visitors have several selectivity, such as exercising, sightseeing, biking, hiking, enjoying delicious fresh mountain cuisines, etc. Visitors are welcome to spend a whole day enjoying the beauties of the park.
